Het nummer staat het vaakst in de ruim 50.000 wereldwijde playlists met barbecueën als onderwerp.
Naast Happy wordt de wereldwijde top vijf barbecue-favorieten aangevuld door de R&B klassieker No Diggity van Blackstreet, de hit uit de Disneyfilm Frozen Let it Go van Idina Menzel, Girls Just Want to Have Fun van Cyndi Lauper en de feesthit Me, Myself & I van De La Soul.

Ondanks het Nederlandse klimaat blijkt barbecueën enorm populair onder Spotify-gebruikers in ons land. Nederland staat namelijk op de derde plek van landen met de meeste barbecueplaylists, na de VS en Groot-Brittannië. In Nederland staat Walking on a Dream van Empire of the Sun bovenaan de barbecueplaylists. In de top vijf staat ook Get Lucky van Daft Punk, How Bizarre van OMC, The Rolling Stones met Gimme Shelter en Rather Be van Clean Bandit.
